OneCollection Reintroduces Wall Sofas by Finn Juhl

OneCollection Denmark manufacturer has been reintroduced two sofas designed by Finn Juhl. Sofa Baker is known as one of the most beautiful sofa by Finn Juhl’s hand, which was designed in 1951 for Baker Furniture company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sofa is in two parts with a body coated on lightweight construction of wood – a typical example of how Finn Juhl divide the elements in order to create visual and constructive light. “This sofa trying to solve different problems. Support is good for your back in the normal, relaxed position with your feet up in the corners, and even then resting the elbow, as well as for your head – this is effectuated by up to divide again into two parts – good break “. Sofa wall was originally designed in 1950 for Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim, perhaps the most famous rooms in the museum, which Finn Juhl asked to give the Norwegian art historian T. Krohn-Hansen. Fabric sofa inspired by modern art, such as Henry Moore, Hans Arp, Erik Thommesen and Picasso, in which Finn Juhl was very interested. Sofa has been lacquered steel legs and hand-made upholstery. It is fastened to the wall and pieces of a very few ever made. Onecollection has relaunched it in connection with the furnishing AA Design Museum, Korea.
