The Cool Chair by Cate&nelson for Blå Station

Designers Högdahl Cate and Nelson Ruiz Acal has created Cool chair named Swedish furniture manufacturer B25 for Bla Station. Chairs cool ‘B25′ is easy chairs in birch-printed with the surface compression layer of ash. Seats are coated polyether foam and down. Bla Station is 25 years young in 2011, and Cate & Nelson was commissioned to design a product to commemorate the occasion – B25. Their brief is the basis of these products at the design language that is marked Bla Station in the early days – a ring of birch-wood round and naturally tanned skin from Tärnsjö Tannery. As a result, the seat cool ‘B25′, also built on the idea of furniture as a family member – to create not just one item of furniture, but a series of small, group of furniture or family based on the same idea and uses the same basic components. These allusions to Borge Lindau Oblado series is clear. Bla Station was first made in birch iconic round ring in 1986 – and the same tool has been used to B25. The back is closed to assume its intended shape after it has been installed in place in the ring, in the same manner as in the back of the chair Hövding, for example.
