The Elegant Chair by Joachim King

The design of the Pantosh chair was born of the fusion of the panton chair by Verner Panton (created in 1968), and the Willow Chair, designed by Scottish architect C. Mackintosh (created between 1902-1904). Joachim King, a Glasgow, Scotland-based furniture designer/builder, has sent the stripe chair. Although it shares a similar form with the classic panton chair, instead of being made from plastic, the swept curves of this chair are made by building it up in several layers, each cut from birch plywood using CNC cutting technology.
