The Modern Scuba by Brodie Neill

Designer Brodie Neill has created the modern Scuba lounge for the manufacturer Domodinamica.
Scuba’s self supporting strength is achieved through the ever-undulating curve, bending and coving to provide structure within a 3-dimensional curvilinear surface. The raised backrest maintains overall rigidity with its concaved cross-section that slowly opens as the swooping lines skim to the floor. With sweeping lines that take inspiration from the aerodynamics of high performance sports cars, Scuba displays a still sense of movement as its contours flow between seat and structure.
The Scuba refers to the underwater adventure where many graceful species can be witnessed drifting the seas with ease and elegance. The elevated seat spanning over 2 metres is fringed with the sweeping sides reaching down to the floor like the wings of a manta ray.
