This unique arm chairs called the TRON Armchair has designed for Cappellini by Dror Benshetrit who a designer from New York that inspired by the soonto-be-released Walt Disney Pictures film TRON: Legacy. Cappellini and Walt Disney Signature present a special range of unique arm chairs, the TRON Armchair during Design Miami 2010.

Dror’s mission is to articulate the complex meaning of objects in the simplest of ways. Their uses become a part of their narratives, expressed in transformations that are both metaphorical and literal. Raw Data forms a jagged and angular landscape, serving as a muse for a chair that is comprised of intersecting layers and textures of ‘digital’ rock. Constructed of composite material consisting of impregnated fiberglass with polyester resin processed with manual layering, these Special Production Walt Disney Signature TRON Armchairs invite you to “sit off the grid.”

The TRON Armchair continues the collaboration between Walt Disney Signature and Cappellini, who jointly introduced a line of Disney-inspired limited-edition chairs at the Milano Design Village in April of this year. With both companies’ heritage steeped in innovation, collaboration and design, the Walt Disney Signature range continues to tell stories and inspires customers around the world.

A prototype of the TRON Armchair constructed out of 100% recycled roto-molded plastic, with varying textual surfaces which will be massed produced and will make its official debut at the Milano International Furniture Fair in April of 2011 will also be on display.
