Copenhagen based designer Nina Bruun has created the Nest chair.
Influenced by the seasons come and nature, this chair is inspired by the bird’s nest. My idea was to create chaos graphics that still feels like a single unit. Supporting structure consisting of seat, with four legs that stabilize. To create a ” nest feeling ” I play with a strip of birch in different thicknesses and throw them around the support structure. In order not to divert attention away from the nest of strips of birch, I have chosen to make a pillow covered in chocolate so anonymous that plays beautiful dusty brown with pale birch trees. The chair has a soft center to make reference to the bird’s nest, which is usually coated with a bottom, to form a confident frame for eggs and chicken. It is very difficult to get a nest that is ” right” I’ve done the chair again and again before perfect.
